Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Dragon Ball universe’s success has brought many interests to make it into the game version. Earlier this year at the E3 2019 preview, Bandai Namco revealed that the new Dragon Ball game will be officially named as Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. In the first trailer, it was revealed that Goku was turning into Super Saiyan during his fight with Frieza.

After the exciting announcement, the company has given us more gameplay insights in the last two trailers which showed Goku’s wild fishing way and his epic battle against Raditz. Moreover, the latest issue of Jump Magazines revealed that the game will go beyond the Frieza Saga. As promised by Dragon Ball producer, Ryosuke Hara, the updates will include The Cell Saga, anime’s filler episode, and new original character for the game.

The Cell Saga part will have Kid Gohan and Trunks as playable characters alongside Goku. Some other characters such as Vegeta can be playable at some points once the event moves to Planet Namek. Other than that, it also includes original backstories episodes for Gohan and Android 16. In this saga, Android 17 is also confirmed to make an appearance.

As for the filler material, the game features Goku’s Ordeal, the eight-episode of the Trunks Saga, where Goku and Piccolo tried to get their driving license on Chi-Chi insistence. This episode is considered to be one the best episode in the anime. The fun part of the game is it will be available as a driving minigame which likely allows us to choose between Goku or Piccolo.

Bonyu, a woman with a big bust, is introduced as the new original character. The former member of Ginyu Force left the squad because she apparently didn’t like their poses. She also came from the same planet as Jeice, the red-skinned Ginyu Force member.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is scheduled to release in early 2020 for Switch and PlayStation 4. Can’t wait to get your hands on the game? Pre-order now and get your Japanese Nintendo Prepaid Card and Playstation 4 Network Card here!
