Wait, he’s JoJo? That’s JoJo too? There’s too much Jojo Characters! Is everyone JoJo in this anime? Well, kinda? JoJo (ジョジョ) is a nickname shared by each of the main protagonists of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, derived from the recurrence of "Jo" in their names. Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure follows the stories of Joestar family members across generations. The adventure begins with Jonathan Joestar when his father adopts another son, Dio Brando. Dio used the power of a stone mask to turn himself into a vampire to take the Joestar family’s wealth. And with that let us with the first Joestar on the series.

Jonathan Joestar

The first Jojo Characters ever. As the son of George Joestar I, Jonathan Joestar is an honest, kind and positive man whose life is fraught with tragedy after meeting his adopted older brother, Dio Brando. In his battle against Dio, Jonathan Joestar becomes a Ripple user under the tutelage of his master, Will Anthonio Zeppeli.

Joseph Joestar

Joseph Joestar is a natural-born Ripple user and an eventual Stand user on the Stardust Crusader arc, wielding the psychic photographic Stand, Hermit Purple, making him one of the strongest Jojo Characters. Joseph Joestar meets the threats that dares approach him throughout his life with initiative and impressive ingenuity, battling Vampires, the Pillar Men, and malevolent Stand users.

Jotaro Kujo

Jotaro Kujo is a delinquent who lives an ordinary life until the Joestar family's old enemy, DIO, returns. This leads to Jotaro Kujo traveling to Egypt accompanied by Joseph Joestar in order to save his mother and stop the vampire once and for all.
Wielding the incredibly powerful Star Platinum, Jotaro Kujo is the first JoJo introduced with a Stand. He is also among the most well-known Jojo characters of the series.

Josuke Higashikata

Josuke is a first-year high schooler residing in the town of Morioh. He soon meets Jotaro Kujo, who informs him that he is Joseph Joestar's illegitimate son. After his grandfather dies, Josuke takes it upon himself to protect his beloved town from malevolent Stand users. Josuke wields Crazy Diamond, a powerful Stand with the power to repair almost everything.

Giorno Giovanna

Giorno is the illegitimate son of DIO, conceived with Jonathan Joestar's stolen body which makes him count as one of Jojo Characters. He is introduced as Haruno Shiobana (汐華 初流乃). He speaks of his intention to join the powerful gang, Passione, and his dream of becoming a "Gang-Star".
Giorno is a natural-born Stand user wielding the life-giving Gold Experience in battle.

Jolyne Cujoh

Jolyne is the only female "JoJo" to date and the daughter of Jotaro Kujo. Initially an ordinary girl, Jolyne quickly awakens her string-based Stand, Stone Free, during her time in jail.‎ Stone Free grants Jolyne the ability to unravel parts of her body into a string. This makes it a very versatile Stand, enabling her to eavesdrops as well as to escape and hide by unraveling parts of herself into string.
