With the arrival of Attack on Titan’s final season, a lot of people have flocked to watch it. Many people also got confused by how the Titans work and how many kinds are there, but we’re here to explain! We will explain all the Titans according to chronological appearance. So, without further ado, here’s the list of the Nine Titans.

Colossal

Colossal Titan is enormous and can evaporate its body to release immense amounts of steam, along with the user being able to control the Titan's transformation power and blast radius. Currently held by Armin Arlert. Previous owner : Bertholdt Hoover

Armored

Armored Titan is covered by hardened, armor-like skin, except in key areas necessary for movement. It also possesses the ability to harden its arms and feet into sharper claws which can be used to climb structures such as the Walls. Currently held by Reiner with no known previous owner

Attack

Attack Titan can receive memories from both past and future inheritors of the Titan. Guided by these memories, it always moves ahead, fighting for freedom. Currently Held by Eren. Previous owner : Grisha Jaeger, Eren Kruger.

Female

Female Titan can inherit abilities much more easily than any of the other Titans. It can also harden areas of its skin for extra offensive and defensive capabilities. It also has the ability to summon pure Titans with its scream. Currently held by Annie with no known previous owner

Beast

Beast Titan can take on the appearance of a different animal, depending on its inheritors, and has devastating throwing capabilities along with the ability to harden its flesh. Currently held by Zeke, a Warrior with royal blood. Beast Titan has no known previous owner

Cart

Cart Titan is a quadrupedal and has great endurance that allows it to stay transformed for long periods of time. Its speed rivals that of the Jaw Titan. The Marley can put machine guns on top of it to make it even deadlier. Currently held by Pieck with no known previous owner

Founding

The Founding Titan can turn Subjects of Ymir into Titans by screaming, control the minds of Titans, and alter the memories and bodies of Subjects of Ymir, but only if the inheritor has royal blood or is in contact with a Titan of royal blood. It is connected to all Subjects of Ymir and Titans via paths. Currently held by Eren. Previous owner: Frieda Reiss, Uri Reiss, Karl Fritz, Ymir Fritz

Jaw

The Jaw Titan is the swiftest of the Nine Titans and has sharp, hardened teeth and claws capable of breaking almost anything including the crystal that protects Annie and the War Hammer Titan’s crystal. Currently held by Falco Previous owner: Porco Galliard, Marcel Galliard

War Hammer

The War Hammer Titan can harden its flesh into various weapons and structures. It can also be controlled from afar through a cable of Titan flesh while the user remains hidden within a hardened crystal casing. Currently held by Eren. Previous owner: Willy Tybur’s Sister.
