Nintendo has updated the information for "Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit" on their official site. "Super Mario Odyssey" and "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild" will get a "VR Goggle Toy-Con" compatible update which will be available for free on April 26th. Unlike the usual VR headset, this particular kit does not have a head strap, so it is necessary to hold it against your eyes.
Players are able to play the entire “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild” game in VR. You can switch to VR mode anytime in the middle of your adventure, and enjoy the vast and beautiful hills. Meanwhile Super Mario Odyssey only adds a few dedicated VR gameplays to find notes and coins hidden on the stage, said mode can only be played on three stages: "The Cap, Luncheon, and Seaside Kingdoms".
The Kit that includes the goggles and the rest Toy-Con 04 is 7,980 JPY [tax excluded] (8618 JPY [tax included]), but the VR goggles and bazookas bundle dubbed “Chobit version" is available at the price of 3980 JPY [tax excluded] (4298 yen [tax included]). If you want to enjoy the VR mode of "Super Mario Odyssey" and "The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild", you might want to start with this "Chobit version". Software update is required in order to use the kit. The Nintendo Switch, games and Nintendo Labo: VR Kit, are sold separately.
The “Bazooka”, “Camera”, “Elephant”, “Bird” and “Wind Pedal” in the Toycon 04 full kit can be used as an addition to the VR goggles and you can experience the world of Virtual Reality with the corresponding game.
"Nintendo Labo Toy-Con 04: VR Kit " will be released on April 12, 2019. You are able to buy both games that are compatible with this kit through Nintendo eShop and you can buy Japanese Nintendo Prepaid Card on our website.
