Let’s clear up some points before we get into the story. Some of you have probably played these games, but for the first timer, this will be a short crash course about Zelda. To get things straight, the main character is Link, a guy who looks like an elf and extremely handsome. Meanwhile, Zelda is the princess that always asks for Link’s help. After all, she IS a princess!
Alright, without further ado, we will show you 3 best Zelda games with explanation of time and their place in Legend of Zelda timeline:
1. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword
In the Legend of Zelda timeline, Skyward Sword is actually the very beginning where everything started. The plot starts with Zelda spending her time with her childhood friend Link on a floating island called Skyloft. Her days were filled by happiness until a demon named Ghirahim kidnapped Zelda in order to revive his master, the demon king Demise. You will be playing as Link who tries to save the princess and stop the Ghirahim’s evil intention. As the hero, you will face unexpected challenges and there’s no one who can do this except you! Can you conquer these trials and save your dearest friend?2. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
This is one of the best Zelda games where the plot thickens. Along with the defeat of Demise in the Skyward Sword, the malicious era has come to an end and the surface is freed from Demise's control. All Zelda’s companions decided to move there and establish a Kingdom named Hyrule. In this game, you will find a new enemy who is a reincarnation of Demise. His name is Ganondorf, the king of Gerudo’s tribe who inherited Demise’s hatred. He continues Demise revenge on Zelda by taking over the Triforce. We know it’s infuriating to see a rascal with his unrelenting revenge still harm our friends. So why don’t we kick his ass?3. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Breath of the Wild takes place 10,000 years after the Ocarina of Time, after successfully beating Ganondorf (or Ganon, it's the same dude) and putting him back to sleep like in the previous series.
In this Legend of Zelda timeline, we can see that Hyrule has evolved into a super advanced society where they made a bunch of giant robots. Unfortunately, this technology backfires as Ganon wakes up from his slumber and takes control over those robots to destroy Hyrule.
Zelda managed to seal him away in a fancy castle. However, the seal weakens over time and it worries her that one day he will return to annihilate Hyrule. To prepare his comeback, she puts Link to a long sleep until the day Ganon breaks out the seal.
All the games mentioned above are the best Zelda games as it follows the Legend of Zelda timeline.
