Bandai Namco latest game release belongs to Code Vein which was released on September 27th. Set in the post-apocalyptic world, the new action-packed RPG uses a third-person perspective which also allows players to choose a partner. Let’s take a look into the game!


Plot

Code Vein as the name suggests is a vampire theme game, you will play as Revenants who lived in a closed society called Vein. The game set in the near future where the world collapsed by "Thorns of Judgement", a mysterious disaster that crushed down the Earth. As a result, humankind traded their memories for supernatural abilities as they fight for survival over supplies of blood to maintain their humanity. Revenants who run out of blood will turn into a monster called “Lost”. 


Blood Veils

Each Revenants are equipped with Blood Veils in order to suck the blood up from the enemies. It usually takes on the form of clothing or armour with an exclusive mechanism that appeared during blood sucking and transformed into a mask. The blood is transported through the pipe which connects to the mask that covers The Revenant’s mouth.  


Gifts

A Gift is Revenant’s ability to perform various battle effects using the absorbed blood of the enemies. You can increase their strength, weaken enemies, utilize new weapon abilities, and overpowered attacks. You can also choose various weapons such as axes, bayonets, spears, and more with its own unique action to match their play style. 

Spa

There is a hot spring facility inside the Revenant’s base called Spa. This facility enables Revenants to restore their energy and looking back at their past memories while soaking in the Spa. You can also retrieve the Haze you dropped when you last died in the battle in the spa.

Bandai Namco also added some updates to make the game much more adventurous. The updates include the high-difficulty stage “Town of Sacrifice”, multiplayer mode, and the ability to bring customized character from the demo into the full game.
