Hi everyone! Nick here, again bringing you some more cool game reviews and previews exclusively from Japan! Today, I want to show you a game that I have tried called, 渋谷で鬼ごっこ, or, Tag in Shibuya published by Goodia Inc.,which, as you can guess is a huge game of tag, built into the Tokyo city, Shibuya! I think you guys will like the simplistic graphics, mixed with the Japanese appeal! Let's check it out!
This is a very straight-forward and hilarious game! Imagine, you are placed in the middle of Shibuya Square (Think Times Square, Japan) and all of these men in black are chasing after you. Your job is to avoid them as long as you can, while picking up cans of Redbull along the way. A simple slide and touch gesture will control the main character that you play (the one wearing the red sweater). The goal is to see how long you can go without being caught, while making your way through the city scene!
The whole aspect of the game changes drastically, when you activate your Redbull drink and the feeling of PacMan comes to mind: when you drink it, suddenly all of the men in black are running from you and you can destroy them by running into as many as you possibly can to lower the population of your foes! I think this game is really enjoyable because it doesn't really take much to get into, and also requires no Japanese language understanding to play and understand.
Above, I've included a video of the game with some Japanese commentary to give you an idea of how the game works, first hand. I hope you guys enjoy it, and please feel free to leave feedback in the comment section below! I'm always loving your feedback! Tag in Shibuya is available exclusively on the Apple Japan iTunes Store! Although free, there will be some in-app purchases so be sure to power up your Apple Japan credit on your account. No account?
