Be Your Truest Idol Form in "Ensemble Stars!" for the Japanese iTunes Store!
May 05, 2015
Hey guys, Nick here bringing you another game review from the Japanese Apple iTunes Store! All of the content I review is from the Japan App Store and if you are looking for ways to play these titles as well as download music from Japan, we have a quick guide for you right here, to get started. With that being said, I haven't done a review for an idol game in a while so I reviewed a pretty cool game called, Ensemble Stars! or あんさんぶるスターズ!, published by Happy Elements K. K.. This game is different than many of my other idol game reviews because this one is actually about boys, who are becoming idols! Let's check it out!
The game started out with this really flashy anime intro that grabbed my attention right from the get-go. When you begin, you find out that YOU, the player is a famous producer and there are various idol groups that are trying to make it big in Japan. Incidentally enough, they all go to the same academy for high school. Go figure, right? You actually do have to choose an idol group that you like the most, strictly from appearance and invest in one of the group members.
You would think that the game revolved around singing and dancing, but it really doesn't. Basically, the band members make appearances in public and what they say or do generates them fame points. These points will further their fan interest and push them up higher for future challenges. Sometimes rival idol groups will want to compete to see who is more famous and you will duel them, which was pretty interesting. I had a lot of fun making various combinations since I had all of the power and control as the producer and I think you guys may want to give this a shot too, especially if you are into anime and idol games. Below I've linked a video for you guys to check out to get more of a feel of the style of the game. Let me know what you think and enjoy!
Ensemble Stars! is free to download and play on the Apple Japan iTunes Store! There is in-app purchases but they are not fully necessary to enjoy every facet of the game. I hope that you guys give the game a try and please let me know your reception in the comment section below!
