Today, I am bringing you a review of an AWESOME game on the Japan iTunes Store that I had the pleasure of playing recently, called にゃんこ大戦争 or "The Great War of Kitties", developed by PONOS. I enjoyed this game so much, despite its sheer simplicity and I hope that you will too!

The game is very simple, but quite fun: Basically you are thrown into a world where you are given an array of "kitties" to use to defend your tower and conquer the opposing side's tower by means of force and overpowering! As the first war begins you will see a ticking cash timer that builds up, in which you can spend yen on various cats for different costs to send out to the field. The object is to protect your kitty turret and also destroy the enemy bunker or castle. 

The simplistic, yet adorable character design really sold me on this game. Look how great it is! As you proceed through the battle you eventually build a charge to your Kitty Turrent Tower which allows you to fire off a massive laser beam that kills multiple enemies. Don't fret because this charges up quite a bit, so feel free to use it liberally. Additionally, after battles are won you are award EXP which you do not use for "leveling" in the traditional sense but that you will apply to the "Power Up" Station. Giving you more types of Kitties to fight with, different Turret benefits and overall improving your strength and livability in the Kitty Wars!  Take a look at this fan-made Japanese game preview below and let me know what you think in the comments.

Overall, I found this game to be a simple and extremely addicting battle game from the Japanese iTunes Store.
