The Edo-inspired hack and slash franchise Sengoku Musou Chronicles has come out with its third installment of the game series, appropriately named Sengoku Musou Chronicles 3 (or, Samurai Warriors 3). Unlike the other versions of the game, producers have insisted that this story is separate from its predecessors. Sengoku Musou Chronicles 3 was released on December 4 for the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita.
Currently, there is a promotional feature that if you purchase the game within the month of December you will receive a Santa outfit for both of the main characters of the game. I enjoy these little incentive-type feature in a game because it gives you more options to customize your character, and let's not deny it, we all love that.
The battle play for this type of game revolves around having a group of characters and switching at will between what person fits best for each situation. On the fly, you will be able to swap characters who wield their own distinct types of skills and weaponry to defeat the hoards of enemies. For example, if you were to see a large group of enemies heading towards you from further back, you could quickly switch to your bow and arrow-wielding hero, and fire off some range attacks before switching to a close ranged fighting character, as the enemies continued to approach your group. This kind of action and fast-paced style of this game seems very exciting to try! Below I have included the trailer that was debuted at Tokyo Game Show 2014. Enjoy!
Because of Sengoku Musou Chronicle 3 recent release and bonus start-up promotion they are having, it would be wise to pick this game up as soon as possible if you're interested in giving it a try! Japan PSN Card and Japanese Nintendo Cards can quickly and securely be picked up at JapanCodeSupply, for either console of your choosing!
