This week I was able to review a pretty cool game from the Apple Japan iTunes Store called, Kamen Rider Riderbout!, published by Bandai Namco Games. Previously I had previewed a different Kamen Rider game, if you'd like to check it out, here. All of that aside, let's check this current game in the franchise out, today. I think many people will enjoy the various feature available for you on your conquest to protect the fate of Japan with Kamen Riders. Here we go!
The game begins with an adorable data-center assistant who connects you with missions. To begin, she asks your name and then quickly gives you options on the type of monster that you'd like to tackle right away. With enough clicks of the screen you are thrown into the battlefield to fight that said monster in it's random location on the Japan map. I found the game to be particularly fun because you have a ton of options as to where and which type of monsters you can fight, at any given time.
After that particular battle ends, you have various fighting options like, "Battle", "Patrol" or "Emergency" situations in which you can enlist your Kamen Rider to take on. Personally, I don't know the series all too well, but I have a feeling that those who follow the franchise will understand and find familiarity with the characters and the nuances of the game. I've also included a bit of a video for you guys to check out below if you do end up wanting to download and try the game. Let me know if you grabbed it and tried it yourself. I always love hearing your feedback!
As you may have guessed, Kamen Rider Riderbout! is available only for the Apple Japan iTunes Store, but it is free to download and offers in-game purchases to aid in your battles!
